This Travertine floor in Keswick had a lot of grout residue. The grout residue made the surface of the Travertine look dull. It also attracted soil.
My client was looking for the Travertine to have a nice sheen with no grout residue.
I applied a non-acidic chemical grout treatment to soften the polymer in the grout, making it easier to remove. I removed the grout using a rotary scrubbing machine and a scrubbing pad. The client anted a high-sheen finish. So I diamond-honed the floor to a nice sheen.
Finally, I applied several coats of impregnating sealer.
