Tumbled Travertine Cleaning And Sealing Project In Lincoln

A lovely Tumbled Travertine floor in Lincoln. Unfortunately, the client had applied a solvent-based sealer that had beaded up on areas of the floor, giving a sticky uneven finish.

I explained this happened because the original finish had not been completely removed and the new sealer had reacted with the residues.

I used a solvent sealer remover to remove all traces of the old Travertine sealer. It took a number of applications to completely remove all the old sealer.

Then I filled a few of the deeper holes to make cleaning easier.

Finally, I applied several coats of water-based film-forming sealer to give a hard-wearing finish.
